The Grace Grant

The Grace Grant is intended for libraries and historical organizations in the Catskills and Upper Delaware regions to help create youth skill building and growth opportunities by way of developing programming or offering internships for middle- and high-schoolers. Organizations in Sullivan, Ulster, Delaware, Greene, Wayne and Pike counties are eligible to apply.

Organizations may request up to $1,500. Matching funds are not required, but applications demonstrating some organizational financial support for the program may be preferenced. Please direct any questions about the grant or the application to gracejohansenfoundation@gmail.com.

The 2025 Grace Grant application is closed. The 2026 application will open in late spring.

The Sunshine Hall Free Library

The Grace Johansen Foundation was honored to have selected the Sunshine Hall Free Library in Eldred, New York as the recipient of the 2022 Grace Grant, in support of the development of an internship program and expanded partnership with the Eldred Central School District.
